Researchers conducted observations of the 2000 adults who do not have Alzheimer’s disease and vascular dementia during swimming for ten years. They also see their diet as well as their cognitive brain function.

From these observations, it was found that those who drank fruit or vegetable juice three or more times a week had a lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s compared to 76 percent who drank juice less than once a week. In those who are actively drinking juice, no significant changes in the ApoE4 allele. ApoE4 allele is a genetic signature that is a risk factor for the emergence of Alzheimer’s disease.

From there, it is also known that the antioxidant polyphenols have a participation in rejuvenating the brain function. Researchers say that these substances be key to preventing many diseases, including problems in cognitive abilities. The good news, polyphenols can easily be found in a variety of fruits and vegetables.

The plan, researchers will observe the further role of polyphenols in lowering the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. Also expected to be found the right kind of juice to fight the disease.
