In addition, the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) never issued a statement that sweetened condensed milk is not good for consumption.
“If it is not safe for consumption then report to BPOM, if everyone just issued an opinion in the public, it even makes chaotic,” he said
He also revealed that the stages of the feasibility of a product for public consumption has been done by all types of sweetened condensed milk that circulating in the country so there is no need to question again.
“Unless if the milk that circulating in the market does not have permission from BPOM, then it will be problematic,” he said.
Sweetened condensed milk is considered affordable by people from various classes, and contains some additional vitamins and nutritional value that is safe for consumption as well as good for the body.
In addition, added sugar in sweetened condensed milk products is also called by Achmad Syafiq, Nutrition Expert from the University of Indonesia, not dangerous as long as the consumption is not excessive.
There are also nutrients in the form of macronutrients and micronutrients needed by the body in metabolic processes. This can help nourish the body, especially for people who lack nutritional intake and carbohydrates.
