A migraine or a headache is very unpleasant to be felt. If you are a frequent experience, consider again the type of food you consume. The adage ‘you are what you eat’ is true because the food does affect the health of your body.
Director of the Kaplan Center for Integrative Medicine, Gary Kaplan says some foods may trigger migraines. Here are some foods that can trigger migraines =
- Food made from wheat baked goods.
Food is meant for example bread, pastry, cakes, a pastry made from flour and baked goods. Why can trigger a migraine? Because it contains gluten. It can cause inflammation and neurological problems as well as migraine triggers.
- Processed foods.
That is foods that have been processed by the process from the factory and by chemicals. For example, sausages, burgers, corned beef, noodles and more. These foods are a rich substance called sodium nitrate which triggers nerve swelling or inflammation. It also increases levels of nitric oxide that makes you experience migraines.
The content of monosodium glutamate in food is not harmful if consumed slightly. However, if the dose is much, there will be some unpleasant effects on the body including a migraine.
To prevent a migraine that is not easy to relapse, multiply foods that contain omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, folic acid and vitamin B.
